Mutual Recognition of GSP Courses of iGRAD and JuDocs (Forschungszentrum Jülich)

Doctoral researchers of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMNS) at Heinrich Heine University must complete a course in good scientific practice (GSP) at FMNS according to the doctoral regulations. Corresponding courses are offered by iGRAD. Doctoral researchers of Forschungszentrum Jülich must complete an obligatory GSP course within the JuDocs program.
Courses of iGRAD and JuDocs are largely congruent in scope and content. Subject to the following points, courses will be mutually recognised by JyDocs and the FMNS:

1.) Recognition of iGRAD GSP seminars by JuDocs:
GSP seminars of iGRAD are recognised by JuDocs because – if Doctoral researchers from Jülich are present – they also cover the relevant regulations and contact points of Forschungszentrum Jülich:

► Therefore, please indicate your affiliation to Forschungszentrum Jülich when registering for a GSP seminar of iGRAD or applying for iGRAD membership. For recognition, please submit a copy of your according certificate of participation to JuDocs.

2.) Recognition of JuDocs GSP seminars by the Faculty:
Due to the large number of universities collaborating with Forschungszentrum Jülich, the GSP courses of JuDocs cannot cover all relevant regulations and contact points of all universities. Nevertheless, GSP courses of JuDocs are recognized by the FMNS as long as they correspond in scope and content to the iGRAD GSP seminars and if the HHU-specific regulations are also taken into account:

► Please follow the GSP information form linked below as soon as possible after attending a JuDoc’s GSP course. Please read all regulations and documents that concern you and your doctoral project, linked within the form. By signing the form, you confirm that you have read and understood the relevant information and documents. Please submit the signed form together with your certificate of participation in the JuDocs’ GSP course to the the doctorate office of FMNS.
