According to the doctoral regulations of 15.06.2018, the following, among other, is required for a doctorate at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences:

1.) An Advisory Meeting between the Doctoral Candidate, her/his Supervisor(s) and her/his Mentor has to take place latest three months after the start of the doctoral research phase. As a result of this meeting, a written supervision agreement is concluded in which the mutual claims are clearly defined. This agreement must contain at least the information listed in §3 paragraph 6 of the doctoral regulations. The Supervision Agreement is signed by all persons involved in the Advisory Meeting and a copy is provided to each person. A further copy must be submitted with the 1st electronic registration of the doctoral project in the doctoral office.

2.) A meeting between the doctoral candidate, the supervisor (or supervisors, if applicable) and the respective mentor takes place at least once a year. Within this framework, a progress report on the existing supervision agreement must be prepared in which, among other things, the planning for the following year is drawn up and the fulfilment of goals and changes are documented. The progress report is finally signed by all persons involved in this follow-up meeting and a copy is made available to each person. In case of conflict, the Dean's Office may request copies of the progress reports.

For (future) iGRAD members it is recommendable to discuss the planned iGRAD curriculum and additional trainings, too. Please find below specifically adapted forms for iGRAD members including agreements on scientific and additional trainings.
